Metal Genres and the Apocalypse
Power Metal:
A warrior clad in shining armor rides a flying dragon into battle, wielding a flaming sword to defeat the dark overlord and restore peace to the world. Epic choirs sing of his legendary deeds.
Heavy Metal:
The world is ending, but the hero doesn't care. He grabs a beer, jumps on his Harley, and rides into the nuclear wasteland blasting old-school riffs.
Thrash Metal:
The apocalypse is a non-stop mosh pit. Chaos reigns, cities burn, and people thrash violently through the streets at breakneck speed. The hero fights, drinks, and dies in the pit.
Death Metal:
The world is engulfed in flames, corpses rot in the streets, and demons rip souls apart. The hero embraces the carnage, growling guttural vocals while smashing skulls with a spiked club.
Black Metal:
The apocalypse was the hero’s doing. After years of rituals in the frozen mountains, he successfully summoned the end of the world. He watches it burn while standing atop a ruined church, face hidden behind corpse paint.
Doom Metal:
The hero knew the world was doomed all along. He walks through the ruins at an agonizingly slow pace, playing sorrowful, crushing riffs as he accepts his fate.
Folk Metal:
As the world crumbles, the hero gathers the last survivors, drinks mead, and sings ancient battle songs around a campfire. The end is coming, but at least there’s a party.
Viking Metal:
The hero takes one last ride on a burning longship, wielding an axe, drinking ale, and sailing into the apocalypse like a true warrior. Valhalla awaits!
Symphonic Metal:
The world’s destruction is narrated by a full orchestra and an operatic choir. The hero stands on a mountain, cape billowing in the wind, giving a dramatic speech before the final battle.
Glam Metal:
The hero is too busy partying to notice the apocalypse. He’s in a neon-lit club with a bunch of groupies, only realizing the world ended when the hairspray runs out.
Nu Metal:
The hero doesn’t try to fight the apocalypse—he just screams about how unfair life is while wearing a hoodie and rapping over downtuned guitars.
Pirate Metal:
As land burns, the hero sails away on a ship filled with stolen gold, barrels of rum, and a crew of drunken outlaws. The land is lost, but the sea is forever!
